Printed on chine-collé paper (china paper mounted by the publisher onto a heavy wove paper support sheet) and published in London in 1922 by The Museum Galleries; with the publisher’s blindstamp in the margin and hand written label to the back.

The Fighting Temeraire is one of J. M. W. Turner’s masterpieces, and in this magnificent mezzotint, John Cother Webb beautifully captures the subtleties of light and color found in the original Turner painting.
