WWI Dead Mans Penny attributed to Dundalk man Rifleman Edward Clifford. (Carrickedmond,Dundalk,Co Louth).

He was in the 7th Battalion of the Royal Irish Rifles and was sent to France and Flanders in December 1915. He saw action on the battlefields of Guillemont, Ginchy,Messines and Langemark.

He was killed in action on 16th August 1917.

His memorial can be found at Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West-Vlanndren,Belgium.
